Wine, food and fun in South Beach

Celebrating its 15th year, the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE –let’s just call it SOBEWFF for short – continues to bring incredible flavors and plenty of fun to Miami.

This year’s festivities take place from February 24 to 28 at venues throughout the area, and will highlight local ingredients, international cuisine, a flair for the culinary imagination, and plenty of wine.

The lineup of chefs for this year’s SOBEWFF is as strong (or stronger) than in any previous year. Among the notable culinary gurus are some of the food world’s rock stars – Aarón Sánchez, Giada De Laurentiis, Todd English, Tom Colicchio, Rachel Ray, Anne Burrell and many more.

Culinary themes this year, as in previous years, run the gamut – although this year some of the events look to be completely off the charts. From a vegan dinner to a “meatopia” event, chefs will be catering to every lifestyle and every palate, with casual events as well as fine dining experiences.

Learn from the pros in one of SOBEWFF’s many demos, workshops, grand tastings and seminars as they demonstrate how to take your culinary prowess to the next level. Or kick back and relax as these kitchen wizards conjure up some killer lunches, dinners, desserts and more.

The wine and drinks events will surely be as educational as they are fun (and tasty). Wine Spectator magazine is hosting a series of tastings, including a once-in-a-lifetime Heitz Wine Cellars legacy tasting. Put your taste buds to the test in a New World vs. Old World wine showdown, or take part in wine-and-food pairing events.
