ABOUT THE HOTEL

There’s plenty of history in the Venetian Gothic landmark that houses one of Chicago’s coolest boutique hotels. While the rooms and suites remain fairly minimalist in style, the building’s restaurants and social spaces have been restored with a classic elegance. The gracious, welcoming staff at Chicago Athletic Association are simply the icing on the cake, taking obvious pride in what they do and where they do it.

WHAT WE LOVE

The design, which manages to incorporate both vintage and modern elements
Its great location in The Loop, directly across the street from Millennium Park
Consulting with the resident Games Master to brush up on our bocce rules before playing in the hotel’s indoor Game Room

The menu in the Cherry Circle Room is based on the original from the 1890’s and features roasted leg of lamb and prime rib from the table-side carvery
Warming up by the outdoor fire pits on the rooftop terrace, with an amazing view of the city and park
For the causal diners you will find a Shake Shack on the main floor, they will even send it up to your room for you
